We are also working with the The Food Group (formerly Emergency Food Network) through the Harvest for the Hungry program. They partner with CSA farmers to provide fresh, locally grown produce to Minnesota households facing hunger. CSA members and others can donate to Harvest for the Hungry in our farm’s name and your donation will be pooled with funds from Finnegan’s, The Wedge, and Green Mill Restaurant to purchase produce from our farm for their network of food shelves, on-site meal programs, and hunger relief agencies. You can donate here, or give us a check that we can send in for you. This is an exciting partnership that has far-reaching benefits.
Great add-ons for 2017!

Late Bloom Farm is a small family farm that produces sustainably grown field-cut flowers right next door to Open Hands Farm. Farmers Michael and Kristi Pursell have been growing and arranging flowers since 2013, when we resolved that our kitchen table should never be without a vase of flowers as long as the season allowed it. We so appreciated this simple, joyful way of bringing summer into our home that in 2015 we decided to make a business out of sharing that joy with others.
We’re committed to healthy soils, chemical-free and ecologically sound growing practices and a vibrant field that provides healthy habitat for all manner of crawling, buzzing, running and fluttering things, including and especially our two little boys. Our full Flower Shares offer 14 weeks of bright, fresh-picked arrangements featuring a wide variety of summer annuals that changes with the season. Bouquets are picked up with your CSA share from mid June through mid September, and half shares are picked up every other week over that same period for a total of 7 weeks. All our members are invited to stay up to date with the farm and learn about their flowers with our weekly newsletter. Please go to http://www.latebloomfarm.com/csa/
